Hi everyone I have a duccle hen that layed her first egg she is with a rooster I don't want to take it if she is laying on it and I'm unsure if she is laying on it or not she is about 5 months old right now! Should I take it or leave it?

When you say 'laying on it' do you mean going broody? If indeed she does go broody, it is very unlikely that she would do at such a young age and not until she had laid a full clutch of eggs.

No It doesn't seem she is going broody. I just wasn't sure if her laying one egg if she would hatch it or I should take it!? During the day she is not in the box so I don't believe she is trying to hatch it

Laid eggs should be gathered daily and eaten with delight!

Are you thinking that if you leave it and any others she will go broody and hatch some?

That was my thought that maybe she would but I don't normally see her in there so I'm guessing I should be picking them!

I guess that can work, but often doesn't.
If you want to try that technique, use fake eggs.
If a hen really wants to go broody..... she will sit tight, for day and nights, on nothing.
So, yes, gather the eggs every day for eating.
