hello fellow chicken lovers :) it’s been a while since I posted. My flock has been fantastic, although laying has been inconsistent because of extreme heat here in Aus. I noticed today after popping the girls back in their coop that one of my chooks has a big white growth on its wattle! I can’t seem to find anything about this on the forum exactly, but it seems like it’s pretty bad already - wish I’d seen it sooner :( very worried about her. See pics. Also, not sure if this has anything to do with it but one of them laid a teeny tiny egg today...

Any help would be appreciated!!!

What does it feel like? Is it hard?
I would look inside her beak just to make sure there are no lesions, plaques or canker.

Looking at your photo, it's hard to tell, but is there a little puncture/scab or possibly something like a bee sting?
If it's hard(ish), then it probably has pus inside. A lot depends on the cause, but if it's hard, then I would see if I could squeeze that out. Flush well with saline or chlorhexidine, then apply a triple antibiotic ointment.

I agree with this it seems like some kind of blister so poping it and let that heal is the best thing

Thank you for all your help :) I’ll try that, It’s hard but inside her beak is fine. Doesn’t seem to bother her, still eating a tonne and not panting or anything!
