Siting a coop on concrete or rock

Thank you, that is helpful! I can get this person to make a coop with a run and my yard is fenced so when Im home I’d like to let them out in the yard under supervision.

Make sure the coop can be delivered and they can get it inside the fence.

Well I placed my order and it will be delivered next Saturday! It is a coop with a walk-in short run. I’m a little worried about getting it through the fence but hopeful. I have a 40” wide gate. If worse comes to worse a fence panel could be removed.
This is similar to the one I’m getting. He makes them to order. The back is all more open with hardware cloth covering, wood floor throughout, people door on the end.

Hoping to later add a longer run or large fenced area for them but for the beginning this is a start.

If it's not too late have him put the nests lower.

Bigger roof overhangs with open soffits for year round ventilation would be good too.

I think the coop area is elevated inside so the nest boxes are actually lower than they look here. I’ll find out for sure. My neighbor has one and the boxes are lower.

If roost are higher than nests in that pic,
their heads would be hitting the roof.

This person has built and sole hundreds of coops in the area over the past 6 or so years, he has an excellent reputation and I’m going to trust those two things.
