I can't answer from experience with silkies. We only have one and it;s turned out to be a boy. There is a silkie thread and they are very chatty so you may do a search for it and try asking there because they are ALWAYS chatting!!! I would post the link but I don't know how. Good luck.

I only have 2 silkies and they aren't even 3 months old, but I have had broody cochins act similar. I know they are broody when they sit in their nesting box all day and night and their belly area goes bare. Some are extremely protective of their eggs, some don't seem to care at all when I pull eggs out for candling. I've had both personallities hatch out chicks. So it may just be the hen and if you want to hatch, go for it!

Maybe try separating her in her own little area about 3 by 5 feet or so with some eggs. The area should be big enough for her to eat, drink, and stretch but it shouldn't be too big or else she might find something better to do rather than sit on her eggs. This has worked for me.

Wish I could help...to my surprise I found three eggs in my Silkie pen yesterday, but those darn ladies won't sit on them it seems. I think they belong to my Blue, but she acts like she has better things to do
