does anyone know the gram weight for small medium large jumbo eggs?
my hens are laying some that dont seem to be as heavy as the store bought ones
smaller too (pullet-size eggs) so i am thinking they would be around a medium egg...
just want to know so when i bake w/ them i can adjust the recipe
thnx 4 the info

If I recall correctly:

SMALL -- between 1 and 1/2 ounces and 1 and 3/4 ounces

MEDIUM -- at least 1 and 3/4 ounces but under 2 ounces

LARGE -- 2 ounces to just under 2 and 1/4 ounces

EXTRA LARGE -- 2 and 1/4 ounces to just under 2 and 1/2 ounces

JUMBO -- 2 and 1/2 ounces or heavier

Which means the 3/8 of an ounce teny, tiny egg I just found in the nest today would have to quadruple in size just to be legally classified as a "SMALL" egg...
