Does it matter what size the mealworms are, that I feed my hens. We have some from the pet store, about 1inch, my son feeds his lizard ones that are much bigger. The beetles are black and long.

Hi, not at all... they can injest foods of considerable size. As an aside, I would caution feeding chicken carcasses. They can injest a half decent size bone which I am not overly willing to find out if they can digest it or pass it. Hope this answers your question.

Are they Morioworms? They’re a tad different to mealworms and quite a bit bigger. I breed them for my bearded dragon. They’re perfectly fine for poultry too

I just started a colony of Superworms which are Zophobas Morio. Regular mealworms are Tenebrio Molitor. Then, there are Giant mealworms and from what I've read, those are regular mealworms that have been fed a hormone that will prolong the larvae stage thus allowing the worms to get very large before becoming pupae.

NO SUPER WORMS, they are too big and I would be concerned about the hens just swallowing them not killing them.
Unless you want to kill them first.
My son has Bearded Dragons, I get Super worms for them. I have Mealworms for chickens

I watched one of my hens swallow a live, 10 inch snake the other day with no problems. She swallowed it like a piece of spaghetti. Super worms are hardly "too big" for a chicken nor need to be killed first.
