I can get two types of oyster shell, one is ground up into quite small grit, which they seem to prefer, but I've been told that I should be using the shell that is broken into larger pieces, is there a difference or is it all the same stuff - just made into different sizes?
I leave them a pot of grit to help themselves to but they don't seem to touch it, so when I give them a teat of yoghurt I mix the grit up in it so that they get a supply because they were laying soft eggs. The softies are getting fewer now.
Any advise?
