Does it mater which way round you
have a shed as mine is 8x6 not 6x8

They don't care. They don't even care if they sleep in a pick up truck.

A couple things to think about is East facing windows will let the morning light in to impact the pineal gland much better than South facing windows.
Also, position the chicken door, roosts and nests so they don't have to walk under the roosts (poop) to get to the nests.

That's the same square footage.
Tho which way it sits on site, as CC points out, may make a difference.
