Sizes?

I did a search but I'm probably blind. I'm fairly small and have to lug my waterer about 75 feet to the house to clean/fill it. I'm wondering if 5 gallon feeders/waterers would be enough for 8 chickens? I don't want to have to change it every day, obviously but do need to be able to carry the thing. How long would 3 gallons last them?

Any help would be appreciated
