I just acquired a 6 1/2 month old sizzle, I have frizzled,silky,frizzled seramas,polish, but this is my first sizzle, I was told it was for sure female she does not have waddles just 2 red dots starting and a very small comb, but she is large in size for a sizzle close to the size of my standard polish, she is in her quarantine pen but I swore I heard her crow? Today is her first day here and she can only see the other chickens in their run, was she being very vocal or is it a late bloomer roo? I can't have a roo so I'm concerned, I do have a barnyard mix hen that crows for there are no rooster s with them, but I'm not sure what to think of the sizzle I felt if I waited for a pullet until 6 months it would be pretty for sure and she does cluck around talking like my girls , it's her size and mystery crow that is concern with lack of waddles and comb any advice on sizzles please, sorry no pic, it's after dark here ill try to get one tomorrow, I did put camera in run so maybe I can catch it in the morning, of course as soon as I put it out the camera we've been quiet as can be.

I don’t really know much about sizzles, but you could have misheard and maybe it’s acting different because it’s being introduced into a new flock. Many reasons it could still be a hen, really I’d need pics to know

Ok ill try to get good pic in the morning it's so hard to tell with the very full frizzled feathers it makes it difficult for they are not barbed,thank you

A sizzle is a bird with frizzled silkie feathers.
Photos would be helpful to determine gender.

Yes I've seen quite a few that's why I've waited for a female for so long , It looks female as far a waddle,comb but she is bigger than the other sizzles in her group that's why she was offered to me ,she was bigger than planned for their breeding program , and she much bigger than my silkies, I will get pictures hopefully good enough to post in the morning please let me know what you think
