So I'm working with Silver-laced Orpingtons and am really enjoying them. I just picked up some new breeders that have excellent type and the correct leg and beak color (white) but their lacing is soft and not very crisp. My original pair of SLO have gorgeous lacing and great size but have distinctly yellow legs. Like Wyandotte yellow. They threw one Golden-laced chick out of the last clutch that has slate leaning towards willow legs possibly? They certainly aren't yellow like the SLO siblings. Anyway, how hard is it going to be to get that great lacing and the right leg color on the same bird? Is yellow dominant over white? If I breed my yellow-legged originals to the white-legged new bloodlines, will I get all yellow split to white? I'm clueless when it comes to this stuff...
