Skinny Aylesbury what can I give her

Hi all,

Like most ducks she is malting right now and laying still. I have upped the quantity of food (pellets and corn) she is running in the garden foraging all day and has plenty of water.

She is getting skinny and I was wondering what I could give her to fatten her up (not for eating for winter warmth)!

She isn't off her food, she just doesn't seem to be keeping the weight on.

I leave feed out at all times and they eat as they choose. Possibly getting more exercise..

How old is she and have you ever wormed? do you know if your area of the country is prone to worms like hot south and wet would have more poultry with worms than hot dry. I have read poultry that seem to eat a lot but lose weight or don't gain can have a worm load.

Thanks both. She has access to pellets all day and if they are all eaten before bedtime they get topped up.

She has just turned one, I haven't wormed her.

I live in UK and our summer has been hot and dry this year. It is just starting to be warm and wet though.
What wormer do you think would be best?

Here Safe guard is Recommended. Any way you can get some poop to to the vet? No need to worm unless she has them. Reason I mentioned about location is I am in south US and we are prone to having more parasites in our birds.Hot wet. Safe guard is a very safe wormer though. Just to stay on top of it here I worm 3X a year.
