Skylights in new coop roof a good idea?

I'm building my first coop. Gotten alot of great idea from reading and looking at everyone stuff.
Is it a good or bad idea to install skylights in the roof of my new coop?
I live in Michigan, don't believe the skylight would bring direct/strong light into the coop. Based on it's location to the sun.

I wouldn't. Even in Michigan i know your summers get warm, and chickens tolerate cold much better than heat. In summer they need shade. Mine go find shade before it gets to 80 degrees.
