Slaughtering methods

I hang mine by the feet from a scale, and take the head off with a single smooh cut of a SHARP! 8" chef's knife in my dominant hand, while I hold the head with my other hand.

I **DO NOT** recommend my method. Too easy to mess up if you don't place the knife to slide cleanly between two vertebrae.
 
What is the broomstick?

It's a means of cervical dislocation where you put the chicken's neck under a broomstick or some such thing, stand on the stick, and pull up on it's feet. It's easier than just using your hands.
