Okay, when do baby chicks stop sleeping with their beaks resting on the ground? Or do some always do that. Of the 3 3-weekers I have one tucks her head under her wing and the other three are like little toddlers...zonk out where I stop.

All I know is for a few weeks, they eat, poop, and drop down to sleep like they were dropping over dead. In pretty strange positions sometimes.

My Polish are 6 months old, they hang their heads straight down over the side of the shelf they sleep on, makes me laugh

Yes, my BR does this. Sometimes I can't even see her beak, she just drops where she stops. I just thought it was so odd to see one acting so "mature" with her little head tucked.
