Slight loss of feathers under drakes eye

Hi all, attached a picture of our 21 week old Drake, he got his full head of green feathers a few weeks ago, since then we've noticed what seems like a small balding area under each of his eyes, the other side looks the same, he scratches at that area occasionally when preening but that's about it. He has started being a bit frisky with the females so wasn't sure if that would be the cause.

Thought I'd check with the knowledgeable people on here just in case!

We've had a double check around their housing for any sign of pests or mites, we use dengue bedding and fully replace it weekly.
