I will tell you how i did it but I'm not a pro and some people here won't agree with me but this is what works for me. Take out the egg, pick away the shell around the egg just like the duckling would do, if you see any blood them stop, put the egg back in for a hour and check again for blood. If you don't see blood then keep picking the shell until the duckling has enough room to pop out, then I gently tug on the bill until the head and neck is straight and then y you can safely help the baby out. I helped half of mine hatch and all are doing fine!! Good luck!
