My rooster is making this kind of slurping noise while he breathes. I haven’t ever heard it before from him, but it sounds kind of like when you're drinking something with a straw and get to the end of the drink. Now that he’s making this noise and I’m thinking about it, I don’t think he crowed much today. Anyone have any ideas? I can't figure out how to post a video.

Can you get a video of him so we can hear it? Upload video to YouTube and provide a link.

Have you looked inside his beak for mucous, canker, lesions?
Any bad odor on his breath?
Nostrils clear and not clogged up?
Crop emptying overnight?

Thank you! I will check him out in the morning and answer the rest of your questions. His nostrils looked clear, as far as I could see. He did cough or sneeze a couple times. No idea what the difference between a cough and a sneeze in a chicken is.

This is the youtube video link:

I would go check him out. See what his crop feels like now and re-check first thing in the morning before he's had anything to eat/drink. See if there's any obstruction, canker or lesions inside the beak too.

Have you added new birds recently?
How much ventilation does your coop/housing have - any strong ammonia odor?

He may have a respiratory illness, but I would investigate the other things first.
