SLW--5 weeks--pullet or roo?

poodlepill: do you have pics of your SLW's? I'd love to see them!

I'd guess pullet, actually. I have GLWs, and at five weeks the combs of the cockerels were MUCH redder. Compared to other chicks I've had in the brooder (EEs, Australorps, Langshans, Marans), the Wyandotte pullets do seem to get pinker combs earlier than the others - but the cockerels are bright red - think Rudolph!

These two on the left are the ones with more white on their faces, they are about 6-7-ish weeks old? I don't really know what I have, I try to draw all kinds of conclusions from what I read...LOL Time will tell
