This is Kluck. "She" is 5 weeks. Around 4 weeks I started to notice her growing waddles and am worried that she may be a cockrell. I love her and would hate if she turned out to be a roo (I can't keep roosters in my area). Also, is her pattern just awful and she comes from inferior stock or will her patterning come in with her primary feathers?

Welcome to BYC!

I'm gonna say pullet, as for now. As it is a bit young, and Wyandottes are tricky ones to sex.
Her patterning is not the best, and will stay about that I think. It may change when she molts though, so who knows.

Thank you! 🤞fingers crosses she's a pullet. Bummer about her patterning. Hopefully she gets some lacing when she molts.

To anyone who comes across in the future Kluck did indeed turn out to be a pullet. Here she is today at a bit over a year! After her first full molt her lacing became much more pronounced.
