I have a Silver Laced Wyandotte. He is a Cockeral, rescued Saturday, He weighs about four pounds. He was being acted by fellow roosters that had ripped all his fluff, main tail feathers, tail covert. The tail bone meat has some frostbite on it. But he acts tired, but he acts like normal too he gets up and eats. I don't know how long the bird has been exhibiting these symptoms I just got him yesterday. No other birds were exhibiting the same symptoms, just him. Hes not bleeding, or injured, just the frostbite area. What happened like I said further up was he was being picked on by bigger roosters that are three times his size. He has been eating normally and drinking normally. I have not treated him for anything, that is what I was gonna ask if there is something I can give him for building his weight up and growing his feathers back. Please help. I'll post a picture in a couple of mins.

This is Stewart that I rescued.

That's horrible.

Hopefully, he is isolated right now-if not, I would do that immediately to prevent further injury to the area.
First thing I would do would be to treat him for lice/mites, clean up the injured area and put some Neosporin without pain reliever on it.
I would put some electrolytes and vitamins in his water to boost him a bit.
You can also feed him black oil sunflower seeds, cat food, tuna(like that) to promote his feather growth(protein).
Poor guy.

cat food, tuna, wheat germ oil are both good for feather regrowth. I keep poultry nuti drench on had for stressed birds TSC carries it. any poultry vitamin or electrolyte supplement would be good.
