I have some chicks that are one month old and I'm worried about them.
My neighbor and I ordered chicks together, but I just saw hers and they are twice as big as mine. She is feeding medicated store bought chick starter, I am feeding them with this recipe: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/298666/homemade-chick-starter-updated
I used this same homemade chick starter last year with my baby chicks and they grew fine into healthy happy chickens, so I'm wondering what's different this year. I'm wondering if hers are bigger than normal or if mine are smaller. Mine are super active and hers appear to be lazy. Mine have access to the outdoors, hers have been in a box in the house. Can anyone help me out?
Thank you in advance.
