Small electric wire for foxes

Kimmiekitten86 -So sad you lost your chickens. I have heard the same story form many people around where I live. Although mostly they say the fox dug under, but I have heard of things ripping the wire out. When I was picking up my layer hens from the local feed mill a man that was there called them fox food. Wasn't far from the truth. Seems like 30% of the chickens in my area are eaten by foxes. So far the wire has worked great. I set up a field camera with infrared capability two nights in a row. All I got was a video of myself driving away and coming back the next morning. So either there are not any predators around (which I highly doubt based on the area -there is a fox den under a barn not more than 200 yards away) or they have already learned not to touch. I have had the chickens in there for a month now. Still, I am keeping my fingers crossed. If you do put a wire in make sure to warn your kids. They will not like it all if they touch it.
