I currently have a very small flock of 4 (I hope all) pullets. They also just turned around 8 weeks old and are doing great! They free roam in the backyard during the day and go into their coop/run at night all by themselves. They sometimes pair off into twos- my two BAs together and then the EE and cuckoo marans together.
My question is, would it be harmful to start training the EE to wear a chicken diaper so she can come into the house? She is the friendliest one of the group and often wants to follow me in the house. Im worried since the flock is so small this could cause a problem. It seems that the EE and cuckoo have bonded and Im almost thinking I would have to diaper the cuckoo too- though she is a bit more flighty and is trying to cluck- poor girl sounds like one of those rubber honky horns
I would love your opinions! We are at the max for the amount of chickens so we wont be able to get more unless one turns into a roo but Im still curious about bringing her in as a part time house chicken.
