Hello. New chicken owner and having a blast raising them.
We have a 9x9ft coop with small runs on both sides.
They are free range on about 1/2 acre.
Our flock contains a 1 year old welsummer rooster, a 9 mo Wyandotte, 9 mo orphington hen, 9 mo leg horn hen, 2 year old RR hen, (3)2 year old large white breed, and an unknown age unknown breed hen.
We've always wanted chickens but it wasn't until my dentist asked me if I could take one of her roosters. We've added hens and unintentionally a young rooster to our flock since then. All together 2 roosters and 7 hens. The oldest rooster is very human aggressive and tends to over breed.
