Small looking 6 week chicks...

Hey everyone, I wasn't sure if i should post here, or in the emergency section... but they seem to be doing alright since I set them up.. I just picked up 3 Ayam Cemani from a girl. Said she thinks they're 6 weeks. My husband and I both think they look kinda small.. I don't think they were taken care of very well... I didn't feel like they were well enough to go stay outside like I figured they would, since they were 6 weeks and all.. So I set up a tote and put up a red light.. I put a food dish in there, and they have been eating like they have never seen food before! idk if they're really younger than she stated or what, but is there something I should give them to help put some more weight on?
I'll get better pictures of them tomorrow without the red light..

Make sure they have enough space to move away from the heat, they are feathered in fairly decent.

I would just provide them with chick feed and fresh water. If they are eating/drinking/active, etc. then they will be fine.

2x @Wyorp Rock on that heat lamp ... It can get overly warm.

Yes I have the light quite high so it isn't all that direct. I'm probably going to move it even further away today if need be. They devoured the majority of the food I put in with them in just one night! They must have preened really well last night, their fathers look less grimey this morning! I think they are on the up and up already!

These guys are looking so much better! Feathering out real nice, not looking so boney and scrawny when they pull their wings away from their body!
