small pullet eggs....

how long will my pullet's eggs be small? i thouhgt, i read it was just the first few. but this isn't the case, with my salmon faverolle,s shirley. i realize they only have medium eggs to begin with, but this is like a month plus. i have had her for a month and she was laying before i got her????????????????

Mine still have small eggs after three months of laying.
I like the smaller eggs. Fewer calories.

my dh says they are perfect size to make a egg sandwich out of. they fit perfect on his bagel square things.
i just wish they were bigger.

What kind of hens do you have. Some will always lay small eggs others after a few months get larger. Jean

My Phoenixs and Hamburgs were the first to lay. After a month, the Phoenix's eggs starting getting larger. The Hamburgs eggs just got fatter.

I like the smaller eggs too. Perfect on a egg muffin sandwich! And they make GREAT pickled eggs. Perfect size!

she is salmon faverolle. so her eggs will only be medium anyway.
