so i have this wyandotte hen i think one of her parents might have been a bantam bc shes is fairly small not quite bantam size but shes about 4 pounds and standard size hen saddles dont fit her i had to sew it so it could fit her shes perfectly healthy shes just a little smol

You may be right that she is a bantam hybrid. I don't know if there's any way of knowing, honestly. Maybe others will see your post and chime in. It might be better to post this in another forum, perhaps the Gender and Breed one. I think if you click the three little lines under one of your posts you can ask Admin to move this thread for you.

i suspect her growth may have been stunted when she got coccidiosis at 5 months old it makes sense bc she was practically on her death bed and i was flabbergasted that she survived she wouldnt drink or eat so i had to manually nurture and it appear her intestinal damage may have caused her growth to be stunted. shes happy and healthy now but i suspect this is the reason for her small size.
