With the economy as it is we are doing our own breeding to develop a moderate sized hog that "works for us"..
Better than the pot belly in growth ,body style & milk ability & litter size.. AND less expensive than the other available small breeds, less fat than the pot-belly..We are wanting a pig to weigh 100-125 as a common butcher weight ..Could be grown larger...
Good for bar-b-q & roasting..Easily used for compost mixing & garden tilling & do good as pasture raised...& love to be pets..
Our current litter is 10 pigs,5F-5M that are 4 wks old in this pic..This is Lucille's 1st litter- 1 born dead & 10 active happy piglets..show she is just what we had hoped for when breeding her.. We will have a few for sale including some 3 month old 1/2pbp/ blue butt standard size boars..
We are located in SW Mo. Prices start at $75..thanks for your interest..GrannieD

Cason ~ Keep in touch ..we will keep going on this type of hog ..I can send you pics of some as they grow out..I'm 70 & do my own butchering so find these are great..We think that 3 generations we'll have a perfect pig for the homestead ..
See your mule foal pic ... I have a spotted jack we are planning a couple breedings to paint pony mares--13-14 hds. Fun huh..!!
Thanks GrannieD
