My 6 hens have been pretty consistent in the size of their eggs, but yesterday I had an egg that was much smaller. It looks similar to the eggs from my Dominiques but I’m wondering if it’s possible that one of my 15-week old pullets actually laid an egg!
The picture is showing the new egg next to my Welsummer’s egg. Also, I’m curious if it is one of the pullets, which one? I know my leghorns will lay white eggs but not sure what the eggs from my golden laced Wyandottes and golden Campiness should look like. It would be awesome if I can start layer pellets again!

I think it just happens sometimes one of my chickens laid and egg so small a few weeks ago there was no yolk I doubt a 15 week old laid an egg unless your giving her laying mesh

Thank you! And no, they are not getting layer feed yet. Everyone is on Flock Raiser right now and I have oyster shell available for my laying hens. I appreciate your help.

My Campine laid cream colored eggs the same as yours. But, that would be a big egg for a Campine if it’s her first one. You never know what pullets will do when they start laying though.
