Hey there! I finally had time to go down to Lowe's today and see the Bellamy Playhouse is person.

The good news is that the price has dropped even further, to $249. However, I really wasn't impressed with it. It didn't sit squarely on the ground (even on flat concrete), the windows were these sort of plastic inserts, and there were gaps around the door and between the plywood siding. Over all, it just didn't seem like a solid piece. Which I guess I shouldn't really expect for only $249. :-D

Anyway, I decided to wait and have something a little more solid built for me. To be honest, I've seen some extra large dog-houses that are better built I'm considering too.

Anyway, just wanted to give you the report back!

I'm always on the look out for a building in case I want to expand the flock. My hubby just doesn't have time to build. He really didn't have time to build the one we have now. It's solid, but we need to finish some details on the inside.

I can't remember how many chicken you need to house? I've seen some really sturdy dog houses. I also like the tuff sheds, but they are expensive. My daughter wanted us to get a big barn shaped one.
