SMZ-TMP Bactrim?

Is SMZ- TMP also called Bactrim? My anemic chicken has been on this prescribed by a vet and I just read if anemic it should not be taken? Is this true?She has been more lethargic?

Yes that is the same as bactrim, a sulfa antibiotic used to treat many types of infections. In chickens it can treat coccidiosis, coryza, ear infections, and some intestinal infections.
