Snack time....

Ok this is a silly question...but i'm wondering....

When I take snacks to my chickens (like cheerios or scrambled eggs) is it ok to just toss them in the run or should i have a large plate or bowl that they can eat off of?
What do you do?

I toss everything in the run. The way I figure it, if they don't eat it all instantly at least they'll eat the bugs that will swarm whatever I threw out!!! I was kinda worried about the huge bowl of grapes, but only for about 20 seconds....

Thanks for letting me know what you do. I thought it was fine to toss the stuff but i just wanted to make sure.

Even when I feed them out of my hands, it all ends up on the ground anyway from the feeding frenzy. So if I have treats that I don't hand feed, I just toss them on the ground. I just fed them yogurt for the first time - and that I put in a container for them.
