Does anyone have any ideas about keeping snakes out of a chicken trailer. We are about to start raising pastured broilers and all of the chicken tractors that I have seen don't have anything on the bottom that would keep snakes from entering from underneath.

Most snakes don't dig. They do travel through mouse and other rodent holes, if that's a major problem for you. As long as the tractor is flush to the ground and you use a small 'grid' hardware mesh (more predator proof then chicken wire) no snakes will be able to get in.
