SNAKES!!!! LOOK WHAT WE CAUGHT!!!!! PS. It's not dead!!!!

Geez, I could use a snake that would eat mice and rats. Yesterday I moved the goose nest box and found a whole nest full of furry little rodents. Gaaaaaaaaaah! Yuk, Eeeeew, and more. I shoveled them into a box and disposed of them, but <shiver> I'd rather deal with snakes. My dd found a snake in one of the coops the other day, but it was only as big as a pencil so it wouldnt be much help with the rodents. Of course if it were big enough to eat rodents, then it also would be big enough to eat chicks, and then I'd have to dispose of it, too.

King snakes are the best snakes to have around.

HUGE...LOL Snakes are so misunderstood, we have 4 (my DH's is 8-9ft long and about 45lbs) and they are wonderful pets, (hand bred and raised"not wild cought") they have personalities and feel like any other of gods creatures.

I agree myself i do not want my sweet chickens to be eaten by a snake or any other predator either and i would be upset. if we find one on our propery we relocate it in a wooded area so they can stay out of harms way no harm done and everyone is happy, I am soory about your roo tho!
