I put sulfur powder around the pens at the edge of the woods, anything else I can use? We get pairs of black snakes around which otherwise we like, we live in rat and mouse country.

Imp- glad I live in a mostly snake free area of the world
 
Be CAREFUL! And if you can poke 1 or 2 fingers in, a snake will got in too.
