i just got back from KY & daughter says one of our cockerels "nugget" is
sneezing (starting yesterday). i listened to him this morning & he did sneeze.
i've occasionally heard others hiccup/sneeze, but only occasionally. what
worries me is that puff was hiccuping some before she died of "heatstroke" & now
we're being super vigilant with all symptoms.
i know we had a storm while i was gone this week & wonder if i should be
concerned about a cold or something more serious.
any ideas would be helpful
poo seems on the "runny" side of normal range, but no changes to what they
usually have & doesn't seem to be diarrhea (according to pics from the
board)...i haven't been home since thursday, so i'll be watching this closely
the next few days
everyone's appetite & water intake seems normal
all chickens were excited when i let them out to freerange the yard this morning
& no one is mopey

blessings,andrea

ok, so i just went to check the flock....i noticed little light colored crawlies on my silkie "mokie" , "nugget" (the black cornish cockerel i was posting about), & "cleo" my golden laced wyandotte. i didn't see any on the others, but should i treat the whole flock for mites?
do you think this could be a cause for the sneeze/hiccups?
