One of my have a 10 week old chicks has started sneezing. I cured an adult hen of a similar problem using Agrimycin -343, oxytetracycline HCL solulble powder. My question is, can I use this medication on a chick, and, if so, at what dosage?

So far it's only one bird in my flock showing symptoms. The weather has been so awful, we got 20+ inches of rain in a day and a half when the tropical storm went through (North Florida), that I have my fingers crossed the rest of the birds will be ok.

I appreciate the advice of anyone who can help.

I am still new to this so I can't help much. However if you are concerned about the antibiotics being too harsh I have heard that Apple Cider Vinegar in there water helps with respiratory issues on other forums (only from a few people so not solid information). There are some old timers that stand by using it all summer and some all the time just because they say it keeps the flock healthier. From what I know it can't hurt and until you get a better answer it might help. I use 3 Tbs per quart of water for all my chicks.
