Loving Life
Yesterday and today I noticed a few of my 2 week old chicks sneezing. I looked over their beaks and they aren't runny at all. They are all active and eating/drinking like normal. I have pine chip bedding and I've heard that pine chips can cause them to sneeze. I cleaned their brooder yesterday and I think that's when the sneezing started. I hope it's just dust in the air, but I want to be careful. When they woke up about 5-10 of them all sneezed at the same time, a few more sneezes, then they seemed to stop. I have noticed that I myself have been getting sneezy when I cleaned their brooder yesterday. Maybe since I'm getting to the end of the bag it's more dusty?
Anyways, if it is dusty bedding, what are ways to minimize the dust? Their brooder has a lot of ventilation, by the way.
