I’m new here so I’m not really sure how all this works lol. Anyway I just got two chicks from tractor supply the other day both pulllets. They are 4-5 days old. They both appear bright and healthy and are eating and drinking well. The only problem is the sneezing and the chirping. The Brown one chirps almost constantly, the only reason this concerns me is because the last time I had a chick chirp this much it ended up dying. Another thing that concerns me is how much it is sneezing. It will go about 20-30 minutes with a couple sneezes mixed in and then have a sneezing fit where each sneeze is about 3-4 seconds apart. It also scratches its face a lot. The gray one sneezes also but not as much. It scratches its face as well. They also wipe their beaks on the bedding when they sneeze. They have probiotics mixed in with their water. I’m not sure what could be causing the sneezing fits nor the constant chirping. It is warm enough. And besides that they are fine. I’m just not sure how to treat the sneezing as this much can’t be normal. Any advice will be much appreciated.

They may be sick. I would be careful not to spread it to your flock. My girl just started sneezing today she is 3 and it is very scary with all the diseases they can get. I do know chicks dip too far in the water and sneeze a lot. I hope its nothing too bad .

That’s exactly what I’m worried about, I have two older girls outside. Crossing my fingers they get over it.

I have one sick now who is with the flock. I hope it is nothing deadly. They free range so it could be from wild birds. Waiting for help too!! I hope your babies are ok. You can swab them and send it to a lab just to make sure. I have never got more chicks because I am worried about getting them sick. Seems that didn't help much. If they don't have runny noses or eyes or congested it could just be the bedding making them sneeze also.
