Snipe and sora

Are snipe or sora or any other rail type species legal to own thanks abunch

Only with a special use permit.. ..meaning you would orphany have to have an approved research project, and would need a collecting permit (state and federal) to capture the birds.

How were you planning on keeping snipe? Soras? They are very difficult.

I was going to plant a lot of marsh plants such as lotus and cattails that's where I see the sora hide when I'm out duck hunting

Plants don't relate to the needed nutrition. Migratory birds use a lot of habitats to meet their needs. ...captive birds can not.. ..besides soras and snipe do not use cattail and lotus habitats.. ...

Oh we'll that's good to know I guess I won't get them but where I go duck hunting we've shot sora in lotus or at least something that is extremely similar to lotus
