I was wondering if anyone was getting the snow blizzard like we are here. I am sure the old groundhog won't be making a appearance sat as he couldn't dig out in this mess lol! I don't know how much we got about over 6 or 7 inches. Had fun shoveling my drive! We are going to get more today. People here in Mich are kinda hardy after living through many official blizzards-as long as we got a shovel we will get out. The paper is running letters of people who lived through the great '78 blizzard! That was a blizzard!

Ahh.... I remember that blizzard! Just moved here with 2 kids and a brand new baby! Never forget all that snow....it was so cool!! Lived in TN also, and it was so funny when they would panic at the slighest hint of snow!! Definately not prepared for any kind of snow.
I now live in southeast MI and we didn't get as much as they said we would. Days not over yet and expected more. We got maybe 2-3 inches. Hope thats all we get! Shoveled out the chicken run and a path from the house to the coop. Don't want to do it again!!

We got 17+ inches on Sunday, another 6 or so on Tuesday and another 4 last night.

It is supposed to snow off and on all weekend and next week.

Upp! I'm north of you. Got to just love Michigan weather. We should have 12 inches by 7 p.m. today according to the weather man. Kids are glad - no school today.

My wife finally has me on the chicken site:/ well as far the blizzard of 78, i was in the UP, My wife said I have to explain UP, for all nonmichiganders that is the Upper Peninsula. we went a week without school. As far as the winters in Northern Idaho, well lets say they are nothing like the UP, but this year is kicking our rears.

They predicted 6-8 inches for last night, but only got 2. I was sorta bummed! I love snow!! If it's gonna be cold, it might as well look pretty! The chickens have a totally different opinion though!

Its suppose to be in the 70's here this weekend in sunny warm Texas. I think after I work on the new coop tomorrow I'll take the motorcycle out for a spin too. LOL ( as I duck for cover ).
