I found my first egg today from my Barred Rocks. A tiny egg just 35 grams/1.25 ounces. 20190103_170250.jpg . Shown next to a ceramic egg. Shown next to Golden Comet eggs here 75 and 76 grams. 20190103_172442.jpg . I'm so excited one of my 20 weeks old Barred Rocks has started to lay.
This is my second Flock. The smallest egg ever. My Golden Comets smallest egg was 42 grams.
My first pullet squatted at 18 weeks. So it is 15 days after first squat for my newest Flock to start laying. Woo Hoo. GC

Update: Three Pullets are laying.
I found 3 eggs yesterday morning. 20190111_095726.jpg .First time I got more than 1 egg from the Pullets coop in a day. Eggs were laid between 5 am and 10 am.
The eggs weighed 35, 40, and 44 grams.
Today for the first time, I found an egg under the roosts at 5 am. I found an egg in nest at 9:30.
I haven't checked since.
They all use the same nest. I added 2 more ceramic eggs to the other nests. 20190111_100619.jpg
