We got the last 2 d’uccles that Rural King had a little while back, they were straight run but I always wanted some of the beautiful birds so we got them both! They had pasty butt pretty bad and we worried for a while about their health!! Happy to say these babies are flourishing like you wouldn’t believe and we have a beautiful pair!! Meet Chick Norris and Tigery!! My husband named the cockerel and our 5 year old daughter named the pullet

They are soooo sweet!!! When I take them out of the area where the chicks are, I find them to be super curious and BUSY lol!! They also love to be held which is important to me!!!

How precious is that? Thank goodness d'Uccles are usually tolerant (and oftentimes solicit attention) towards their affectionate human handlers....such as we are!

My only two d'Uccle cockerels, a Mille Fleur and a Porcelain, became quite aggressive at 5 months. Neither ever attacked anyone else, though, so it's quite possible they harbored an aversion towards only me. Please don't be discouraged. Plenty of poultry owners love their d'Uccle men.
