My first broody Serama hatched 5 babies two days ago!!!!

The 5th one was still under her, drying off.

Today a new Serama chick hatched under a Silkie and 3 more are pipped or close to it. I put the newly hatched chick in with the new Serama mommas clutch and so far she doesn't seem to notice or mind. I am hoping to add the other 3 when they hatch as well. Crossing my fingers that she will raise all 9 together, safely!

Wonderful! And they are just precious! Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm hoping to have some broodies hatch their own next spring....

Yw & Thanks!

These aren't my first Serama babies, but they are my first hatched by a broody Serama. I am so nervous, just because they are so tiny and I am going to try and let her raise them. These are the first group of babies from my own adult quad too! Can't wait to see how they turn out!
