I just candeled my Marans eggs at 9 days.
All 14 have veins and swimming embryos.
This is my first time incubating!!!!

Oh man. I have one piece of advise for you. DO NOT over candle and once you put them in lockdown SIT ON YER HANDS! I remember my first hatch. Be a good boy/girl.....

Does it hurt them if you candle too much? Just curious...sometimes I can't help myself!

What are you candling your Marans with? Mine were so dark I couldn't see anything the first time. I have some shipped eggs now I would love to be able to see.
