So Excited!

So I never thought I would own chickens or would even want to...but the more I started looking into it, the more I found how interesting chickens really are. The benefits of owning chickens really is great and they seem to be so entertaining as well. Me & my mom are deciding to go into this together. We've both decided to get 2 hens to start with and see how we like it. We've already found a local breeder and our chicks are supposed to hatch this Sunday! We've also started building their coops, I figure I have a little bit of time because of the 6 weeks of brooding. It's all finally coming together. It's pretty exciting and even more exciting I found this website to share my experience with others and have theirs shared with me. I'm sure I'll be looking for plenty of advice as I go and am willing to take any useful hints now! Thanks so much!

Thank you! I was originally from Michigan too! I migrated down to the warm weather of Louisiana about 6 years ago though.
