And it looks awesome. I still have to paint it, but it still looks good. I built it all out of scraps too! It is the duckling house, and the ducks will only be residents of this house for about a month, because I'm so addicted to incubating....

I got all the plywood and nails from around my house, and all the locks and stuff my dad bought me.

Looks good. Very resourceful using scrap lumber.

One concern though. I wonder if the wire is to large. Raccoons have been known to pull a bird through wire that size one bite at a time. You might want to consider 1/2 inch hardware cloth, but before you do, let's see what others here have to say.

I would also be concerned about the bottom. A predator could pretty easily dig up underneath and get inside. You should bury some wire into the ground around it.

I'm going to lock them in the house at night, and I have set traps all around my property. I caught some too, disposed of those little buggers.

Are you going to put some sort of roofing material on the top of the house?

If you don't, the wood will warp - trust me, I put off finishing my roofs and just put tarps over them all fall and winter last year, and the wood was so warped by this spring that I'm going to have to replace it all.

Yes, I plan to put corrogated roof raised on one side for the finished roof. This is gonna have to do till I get my funds in order. After all, I'm just a kid.
