So I go to put the "kids" to bed and this is what I find

Well my kids were outside playing while my husband was mowing I was making dinner and they let Andy my new little roo out. Thats ok, when I checked on them they were fine and behaving so I let it be after fussing at the kids. After dinner I went to put the "kids" aka chickens to bed and this is what I find.

All the chickens on top of the coop except for maybe 1 or 2.

Mr Andy taking the very highest spot, I'm assuming to keep watch over his girls.

They seem to be enjoying themselves though, it wasn't too hot today and DH did some mowing, the girls LOVE it when he mows lots of good yummy bugs.

I see that you're offline now, but you should really try to get them to go in. They are easy prey for an owl on the roof like that.

Thank you for your concern but they did get put inside, thats just where I found them when I went out to check on everyone and put them to bed. The kids had shut the door so they couldn't get in to go to bed properly. They are also right next to my house i have no close trees and they have 2 Great Pyrenees guarding them. Bear my Pyr is has guarded chickens most of his life, he grew up with chickens and goats. If anything is amiss I know about it quick. The other pyr is learning from Bear. Nothing go unnoticed around here.
