after a temp spike today, i candled my eggs. i can see some activity going on, so i'm hoping all is well. anyway, i will need to get my humidity up soon for the hatch. i don't have much room for a sponge and i don't dare take all the eggs out to get a sponge under the grate. so, here's my idea. i was going to cut a sponge into strips and lay them around the edges. might help some. then i got to thinking about what would hold alot of water and not take up much space...see where i'm going??....a tampon! would it work? i was thinking (after i have my wife show me what it actually is) i could soak it in water and lay it in there. would that work or would it be worse than a sponge?
